For as long as I can remember I have loved sharp knives, the outdoors, hunting and cooking. Along the way, animal husbandry seemed to fit comfortably into who I am and what I liked to do.
Sharpening your knife, sharing a tip on cooking or how to cut up your first deer or elk is what this site is about. Finding sustenance for the most of us is not too hard. We are often within a few minutes of a grocery store chock full of food. For some of us, knowing the source and quality of what we eat is important. It’s a little harder to grow and process your own. It is definitely not cheaper to raise a pig or chicken to slaughter. I sure appreciate the meal more when I know where it came from.
